Its primary use is osteo arthritis. I don't have arthritis and was first prescribed Vioxx for a touch of bursitis in my shoulder. The shoulder condition cleared up in about 4 weeks. I've been taking a 12.5 mg tablet of Vioxx ever since and NO headaches. It's been 18 months now pain free.
