There is a lopt of evidence that it is not as simple as you stated: not vasodilation for one and vasoconstriction for the other. You have to ask the medical buffs here, like Bob P.I think, but there is much more to it than just blood vessels expanding or contracting.
Ther have been posts on this board dealing with just that.
Btw, I had migraines nearly all my life. They backed up some when I got clusters, but I still occasionally get them both and at the same time too! I am not the only one.
