we have determined that this is NOT the case. You have undoubtedly been reading the conventional "wisdom" that also states we're all 20-something drunken muscle-bound tobacco-dependent males with pock-marked faces ... do your research by reading this site. There are MANY females, MANY clear complexions, MANY 40, 50, and 60-somethings, MANY non-smokers ... not to mention MANY whose affliction started in THEIR TEENS ... way before they could start a drinking (or any other) addiction.
if you want to help us - help us try to find the REAL cause. ASK US what to study. Drinking won't be it. Alcohol triggers CH in most of us. We know that. There are already too many puritanical evangelistic finger-pointers that use this fact as a springboard to conclude that we all have CH due to an addiction to alcohol.
if you want to write a paper to make a splash before your admirers - do it to the detriment of some other poor community. We've (at least, I've) had it with pseudo-scientific babblers that promotes the same tired old bullshit that perpetuates the foundless mythology of CH - and keeps us under it's thumb. "You deserve CH because you're a DRUNK!"
if (this would surprise me) you are a CH sufferrer and you are wondering about your own ancedotal alcohol dependency - then say so ... and under those circumstances, accept my apology.
until i know better ... i assume you're using us. pardon me, but that pisses me off.
