a Full time job. Before that I was a single mom and worked as a Advertising Sales Manager. It seems like I have always worked in high stress jobs. I have had clusters for over 20 years but somehow have always been able to work. There have been plenty of days I have worked in a drugged state, before Imitrex came out. Then Imitrex came out and I no longer had to depend on the narcotic the Docs tried to push on us. And there were lots of days I worked that I had no sleep. But cluster headaches have not always been considered a disability. For years, I was treated as if I were too emotional, could not tolerate a simple headache, I was a drug seeker, I was weak and all the other bias clusterheads have had to face over the years with clusterheadaches. Thank God , clusters are better understood today so those that need disability stand a chance of getting it. But can you imagine what it was like for chronics when there were no meds like there are today and no understanding either. Probably where the name "suicide headache" came from. smiles, nancyc
