My convention experience ended this morning at 6.42am :-(
Well, what to say about one of the most important and special few days of my life. My words could never do it justice. So therefore in the words of Billy Connolly
"F&ckin' brilliant"
Those few days will probably stay with me for the rest of my life.
As I pulled into the hotel driveway my stomach was a mass of butterflies. Then I saw Elaines face. A lady I had never met before, yet as soon as I saw her, my fear and apprehension left me. It was like greeting a sister I had never met. The next face I saw was Todd's, again like sharing a hug with my brother.
After that, my experience became quite surreal. Hugging all these incredible people one after the other...not just any old hug mind you...a hug of complete understanding and warmth...I have never received hugs like that in my life.
During our night at dinner..I would keep forgetting where I was, then I would remind my self and look around at every single one of you and then I would tear up..my remedy for that was to focus on Dennis's face, that soon made me laugh.
I witnessed a couple of people having a bout with the beast. As DJ put it.... (by the way he is my hero)...it does change your perspective as to what our loved ones go through. It was something I didn't really want to see....yet now I truly know I am not alone.
It was a priceless time for me to share laughs, stories and pain with all of you. I now have new friends in my life that I am proud to call my friends.
DJ..it was a lovely time I spent with you and I am going through seperation anxiety as I type. You are a wonderful man. I could write a lot more on the subject of you.
Wannie and Borren (Bonnie and Warren)..please come and move next door to me.
Jimmie and Ruth..I have the adoption papers drawn up and I promise to be a good girl!!!!!!!!! Thank you for my T shirt..it's getting a good wash right now.
Johnny and Piper..knock, knock..ring,ring..they must be getting cramp by now. knock knock..ring ring .Where the F^ck is DJ's beer?

Thank you every one of you for making this week a truly incredible experience and one that will be hard for me to put aside.
One of my favorite things about this week...was the sound of DJ's laughter.
