OK. It seems everyone's pumped up still from the convention -- both those who attended and we who didn't. Let's keep OUCH alive and get it even stronger now. We have an opportunity to really do something for ourselves here. Let's turn that passion into action. I was asked today to get the second, third, fourth, etc. newsletter out. To get our press up and running again. After doing the first one with the help of Margi, Donna, and Drummer (and let's not forget DJ's mom, of course) I passed the torch on to another. It seems like the torch has dimmed so it's now time for us to come together and relight it. We WILL get the word out about clusters to the doctors. We WILL get the word out to those without computer access (which stops them from finding us here) who have been going years misdiagnosed. We WILL get the word out to unsupportive loved ones. We WILL get the word out to researchers. We WILL get our word out. We WILL be heard! But you have to help make it happen. You have to do your part in this all so maybe someday we won't have to read of a toddler of 3 suffering from this miserable affliction. And the newsletter can go a long way to make this all happen and have us heard. Right now we are in need of writers, artists (visual artists, poets, prose writers, etc...) and a graphics editor.
Anyone still pumped up enough who wants to join me in continuing our battle for a cure should e-mail me at Jayacat2@aol.com. Please tell me your interests in how you'd like to contribute and what your talents are.
