Maybe the candida fighting IS paying off, thus the weird cycle this time? Leaky gut is classic candida. Don't forget to throw in some acidopholus for good measure - it helps restore the natural flora and fauna that we need in our guts.
Hell, only second to a minute of cluster pain is better than a full blown attack any time! But I know you'd give anything to take even that out of his life. But let's still say thanks for small mercies.
