Almotriptan malate (Axert in the USA, Almogran in Europe) is a new triptan developped in Spain and introduced recently. Not much is know about it up to now, but it is similar to Naratriptan (Amerge / Naramig) and therefore not suitable as an abortive for CH, but may be useful as a short time preventative, for the night as an example.
