Maybe if you had never done cocaine you would have started getting your clusters years earlier. As a matter of fact, if your CH first appeared immediately after you stopped the cocaine use, that is a stronger indication that the cocaine was holding CH in check than that it precipitated the CH.

Does substance abuse cause CH? No, it doesn't. There is a POSSIBILITY that substance abuse HASTENS the onset of CH in those that would have eventually got hit anyway, but it is every bit as likely (and equally unprovable) that substance abuse DELAYS the onset of the first CH attack.
