I tried the pepper cream in the nostril (and ended up rubbing it on the whole left side and down my neck - anything to get relief). It burned, but didn't help me very much. My neuro said I was lucky that I had any skin left, but he said it with a smile. He has CH and knows how bad one can get and to what measures we'll go.
When you said the Houston Headache Clinic was in on it I got a big turn off. Those people scared the hell out of me. I stayed down there a week and really don't think they have a clue what CH is. (It's migraine to them). They gave me thorizine (which caused a bad reaction) and wouldn't stop it till I refused it. Then they got real bitchy with me. I came home $5000 lighter and still hurting. The doctor sent me another bill which I refused to pay. I don't like those people.
I agree, don't think any of us could go though a seige with a placebo only. But I guess it's a start of a sort. Maybe this stuff will help some of us.
