Trying to help husband

My husband saw a neurologist three years ago, and was diagnosed with cluster headaches. He has not had an attack since then until recently. Sunday night, I had to call 911 because he was unconscious and barely breathing. I am concerned that they missed a bigger issue, and was wondering if any of you cluster sufferers have ever experienced this type of symptom?
