welcome to the board. I am sorry to hear of your pain. You will find lots of people here who totally understand what you are going through. I do know of some people here who have applied for disability and some who also actually got it. But they too had a long wait and were turned down several times. I hope they post and can maybe even give you some advice. In the meantime, check out the links and the info on the left. Good luck and keep us updated!
