I just thought I'd mention the following in the interests of objectively examining this whole effort of mine:
I have taken no medications for about four or five days now (Can't quite remember). I have some Percosets which I have not taken, choosing to try and wait so I could try the shroom treatment today. It has been very very tough waiting. If things continue as they are, they will remain in the bottle as I will have no great need for them. (Not that they actually help much anyway, but that's another issue :) I am still a bit uncomfortable and in some amount of pain periodically. But, for someone who has lately been dealing with some very very serious CH's, I am feeling surprisingly well all things considered.
I am still having CH's but they are each of relatively short duration (maybe 10 or 20 minutes to an hour) for the past 5-6 hours. Normally mine come on kind of slow then kick my butt for hours. In fact, this is the time of night that they often really start to kick in. We'll see how it goes. I do not think that I could go to sleep yet though because there is still enough pain that it makes me kind of restless.
The sinus drainage and eye tearing are still there with each one and the pain in my face as well as the twinges in my head are also there though they are usually remarkably mild. In fact, they are at the moment, generally quite manageable.
They are remaining quite low on the kip scale. Ranging from 1, 2 and 3 and occasionaly jumping to a 4 or 5 for a while but fairly soon dropping back to 1,2 and 3.
Very interesting to me, anyway. Perhaps this will keep up or they will come back strong or they will disappear. I could not say. Heck, it's only been like 10 hours since I took the treatment. But the character of my CH's has definitely changed. Hmmph. Go figure. It would be cool to get some sleep :)
