Hey Ya'll
Being my first time at this sight and knowing just what these headaches can do I just wanted to share some info hoping it will help someone. If it helps one person rid their self of the pain then i know it was well worth it. First a little quickie about me. I'm 36 years old and am in the military. I have tried damn near everything to get rid of these headaches!!! From oxygen, immetrex(or how ever you spell it), to the stuff in the nasal spray. But because of the nature of my work there are certain things I could not take without giving up my job. My headaches run in about 3-4 month cycles and you can almost set your clock by the 4 times a day attacks. About a 18 months ago my doctor put me on 80mg of verapamil 4 times a day and 1 2mg tablet of ergomar 1 hour prior to bedtime and I havenot had a headache since. Needless to say now I worship her. Out of all the different things I tried I found that the only true way to deal with these headaches was to stop them before they ever got started. Once they start they usually always run there course. The ony bad thing about this is it took me almost 6 years to finally find it.
