I've taken Fiorinal, both with and without codeine, and it seemed to help for awhile but would lose effectiveness if I used it for any length of time. With or without codeine made no difference, however. It's probably addictive (for some people anyway) but detoxing from a minor tranquilizer probably isn't as traumatic as detoxing from a narcotic.
