Is that like ergotomine? I take that for the CH when one hits. It's always stopped them for me (after I tried the Imitrex and didn't like the side effects). But never tried taking it as a preventive.
DHE (another form of it) is given to break a cycle, but it's hard on your heart if you take it over an extended period of time. Have taken my share of that stuff also. It's wonderful (taken IM it's like battery acid, but it sure beats the CH).
I'm glad you're PF, but if it's ergotomine you're taking, be careful. I don't think it was meant as a preventative.
