Hey folks. It's that time of the year again. My summer cluster episode is in full swing. I figure this is roughly the 38th cluster episode I've had in my life. Damn, 38. Every year, twice a year for 60 to 90 days since I was 13 or so. I'm now 32. Can you believe those bastards at Glaxo jacked up the price of 100mg imitrex tabs to 19 dollars a pill? That's almost a hundred percent increase since my last episode this winter. I had visions of car bombs after the pharmacist told me that one. And at roughly one pill a day for 2 to 3 months, that's a lot of do-re-mi.
Anyway, I've had a very peculiar condition develop during this cluster episode. My cluster is on my left side this time around. I have the classic Horner's syndrom as I normally do when a get a headache but now I also have a really funky eyelid spasm that is present even when I don't have the headache. It isn't there all the time but pretty much every day. You know how sometimes you get a muscle twitch somewhere and it twitches for 30 seconds or so and then goes away? Well this is the same thing except it's the same eyelid my cluster side is on. It's really odd and it won't stop happening. My wife has also noticed that my pupils are doing some crazy dialation stuff. She's also noticed that I get pretty cranky the night before I get a really bad cluster, 6 or above on the Kip. Anyone else with eye twitching or like problems?
