OK, there is a link on HSG called helping hands. How many have looked at it? How many have given it any considerations? How many are going to do anything at all to help our fellow brothers and sisters join us and have access to all these great and wonderful times?
Listen people, I know and understand that things are hard. I understand that better then most. Heck, I went to school and raised a family of 5 on 12K a year so I do understand. What we are asking is that you ask around. Do what you can to dig up parts to give fellow CHrs a chance to do research and comunicate with the rest of us. We are the lucky ones. Offices upgrade PC's ask them! Friends and family upgrade, ASK THEM! I almost have our first PC built and ready to ship. I am missing a few parts and I believe that is covered.
People, I am not trying to be a total ass here but I am asking each of you to help out in a small way. Parts for a PC are getting cheeper and cheeper. 128Meg of RAM is only $20 to $30, You can get a small hard drive (2-10 Gig) for $40 or $50. Power supplys are $30 a run of the mill case is about the same. http://www.tigerdirect.com has mother boards and processors for $150 to $300 and that is top end. Each of you has a mom and pop puter store that you can get ahold of old parts that we can piece together.
Please I ask you don't read this and ignore it. We need one more PC built and we will reach our first two people. We want to reach more so they can learn and enjoy as well.
