Random attacks can definitely happen. My hubby has never been chronic, but I have seen him get hit with a single attack when he is completely out of cycle. Just one attack, even though it is usually fairly short in duration, and then not another one until he is 'due' to go back into cycle again.
Let's hope that this does mean that Bennett is becoming episodic instead of chronic. Maybe it means (can we hope at least?) that his hypothalmus is growing/changing/evolving in a fashion that will someday allow him to outgrow clusters completely?
