Absolutely maybe, maybe not. Lotsa folks don't smoke and still get clusters.

Lotsa folks do smoke and don't get clusters. Lotsa folks smoke and get clusters. I guess that means there's a one in three chance that if you smoke, and you get clusters, you or someone you love will ask that same question... sorry I couldn't help. If smoking were a trigger, though, why would those who continue to smoke sometimes experience a period of remission? Some are of the opinion that while there's no direct correlation between smoking and cluster headaches, it may affect the severity of an attack. Quitting smoking makes one healthier... not having clusters makes them more sane. Not a bad combination in my book.
