Maybe it's one factor.

CH is so weird that you can't rule out a possibility merely because there are lots of exceptions. I mean, just about anything anybody says about what causes them, you can counter with "but why then do they only occur on one side?," or "if that's true, why is anybody episodic?" or "I don't fit that pattern, so it's probably wrong." See what I mean? Those are not logical arguments for or against any theory. I happen to think that O2 levels in the brain *might* certainly be a factor, but until more research is done, who can say anything for sure?

I even read one post where someone asserted that alcohol couldn't possibly be a trigger, because if it were, it would always cause an attack. The logic of that is so lame and transparently fallacious that it's appalling.
