Way back when, it was brought up that we need a place for our supporters to hang. Family Services, it was called.
I sure think it's time to resurrect that idea now, seeing so many more supporters coming here as they are and I would like to set up a committee that is strictly for them. Of course, committee members would always be monitoring ch.com AND the guest book for posts from folks who are reaching the ends of their supporter's ropes and need to talk to someone in their shoes. It wouldn't take much effort on our parts, other than to write some emails and maybe be available for a phone call now and then.
I would also like to set up a Children's Network, that could run under the umbrella of Family Services. For the kids out there that have to watch their parents go through this hell. I think it might really help a kid to talk to another kid who is going through this scariness. I will never forget Bernie's daughter and how we did get her in touch with another young girl who's mom was also a clusterhead. (Where IS Bernie, anyways???) They really connected and were able to share some war stories. Very cool.
