Antihistamines may be worth a try. A treatment used for CH at the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chcago is histamine desentization, which is done by injecting small amounts of histamine over a period of time. I guess the idea is to build up the body's tolerance to histamine. It apparently works (at least temporarily) for a lot of people, so it seems to indicate that histamine sensitivity could indeed be a factor in CH, although the old term "histamine headaches" has been out of vogue for a number of years.
