Hi Mike,
For basically the same reasons you mentioned, I went out and bought one. It didn't work for me. But then again, nothing is stopping the Beast anymore. Things that worked for a while aren't anymore. Sleeping sitting up worked well for a long time, or a neck support pillow worked for a long time, but now nothing works. It seems like no matter what we do to try to outwit this Beast, he finds a way around it.
Here's a hint on the pillow:
Check for a guarantee. You should be able to just poke a little hole in the plastic to let the air out, put a pillow case on and try it. As long as you don't remove the plastic cover, you may be able to return it if it doesn't help. Good luck,
