I've had that happen too. I don't think that variations in pattern from one cycle to another are necessarily significant. For the shadow headaches, I can usually get relief with ibuprofen (Advil). I know it's tough getting hit hard after the cycle has seemingly broken, but don't forget that the beast is one mean, nasty SOB. Hang in there and don't despair. This may be just the beast's sadistic way of saying farewell. Let's certainly hope so, anyway.
