Imitrex is very effective for my CHs, but they are so frequent and excruciating that I often exceed the recommended dosage (inhalers only) and take more than the allowable daily dosage. I try to be strong and only take it according to the guidelines, but the pain wins out and I take an extra inhaler within the two hour limit, or take several treatments within the 24 hour limit. I'm forty years old (Hey, today's my birthday!) and I'm in reasonably good health. Is my pain leading me to play with fire?
