we've used our welder's oxygen without a mask, just inhaled directly through the mouth. (It aborts Mike's clusters as well as my m-word things) It's certainly NOT the recommended method of use, but clusters don't wait. The risk, of course, is tearing lung tissue if you inhale too fast, but it can be done. However, having said that...don't do as we do, do as you're s'posed to do.
