I think you took their posts in a way they didn't mean it. They weren't laughing at you or your spelling. It's just the joke was there and they took it. I don't think any of them meant it personally or to make fun of you. Try looking them over again but attempt to remove yourself from being the author of the initial post (and hence removing any embarrassment for your typo) and you might see what I'm talking about.
