I was on my way home last night, and to give myself something to do while waiting for my Imitrex inhaler to kick in, I did a little bit of acupressure to the Hoku(sp?) point on my hand to see what would happen. It is located on either hand(I do both) just above the juncture of the thumb and palm in the web of tissue between the thumb and forefinger. Use your thumb and middle finger of your other hand to form a "C" shape and press on both sides firmly. Not only did it seem to help the Imitrex kick in faster, but it put my head through the roof(In a good way). By the time I got home the CH was completely gone. Scientific and empirical? Not a chance, but I think It definitely helped things along a lot quicker. Hoku is supposedly a powerful pain suppresion point, and maybe it was all just wishful thinking, but I thought I would pass this along to see if it helped anyone else. Let me know if it does. Hint: Find where it hurts and massage it out. At the very least you'll work out any lactic acid built up in the tissue. PFDAN to you all!!
