I can see and understand both sides of this discussion. Here's my take:

General discussions and most if not all committee meetings should probably be 'public'. What better way to encourage non-members to join than to let them see OUCH in action?

On the other hand, BoD meetings, meetings of the Officers and some committee meetings might be better if restricted to OUCH members. If you haven't joined, you shouldn't be allowed to comment on direction, decisions, etc.

Seems like the ability to create private rooms probably allows for all these variations.
