When I was first diagnosed (11-12 years ago), I went through the typical routine, MRI's, every drug known to man, etc., all to no avail. When I left my job and moved, I swapped neuro's, and went through the whole routine again. Well, someone told me about this great headache doctor nearby, so I went to see him. He assured me that he could help me, that all we needed to do was find the "right combination" of drugs to bring the clusters under control. Well, after two years, I'm no better off. So, he now has me scheduled for a sleep apnea test, and another MRI. Man, I'm telling you, I have just about had enough! How do you know when they have hit the wall, and are just yanking your chain? I have spent thousands, laid in the "coffin" for hours, been a guinea pig more than once, and I'm no better off. When is it time to tell them to take a hike, and just learn to live with it? I'm just about there. I'm on my third neuro, and have found no relief yet. Just an endless string of drugs and tests. Totally frustrated!!!!!
