this happens. It happened to me not so long ago. I never open attachments anymore without checking with the person that seemingly has sent an attachment.
You did the best you could you have wornd everyone. I hope you have managed to solve the problem. Just a worning make copies of importent files. If you should have to re format you then have to scan your coppy befor loading them later.
