I won't go to emergency rooms with a headache do to previous bad experience.Luckly I have understanding doctors that give me most anything I need to treat them.On the other hand,my insurance for prescriptions is seperate from my standard medical coverage,as is common practice these days. When someone goes to the emergency room the cost is passed off to a seperate company. With this fact in mind, presciption insurance companys have set artificial limits on expensive drugs like Imitrex and Zomig based on manufactor's recomindations that are set for people with typical infrequent migrane headaches. After many hours and phone calls to these assholes I finally asked to speak with whoever was there that thought they could supersede a doctor's orders. The senior executive vice president of bullshit came on the phone and after several minutes of verbal abuse from me,placed an override on my medication. If you have a valid prescription, they have to cover it,unless its in a absolutly rediculious amount.I am usually not this long winded but I have the day off and figured why not.LOL
