First off, thanks to the people who sent me an email after I posted for the first time the other day. My head's been up my arse for 13 days and my Nearest & Dearest ran out of patience long before the weekend, so writing down what I'm going through and getting replies from people in the same boat BLEW ME AWAY! THANKS. And THANKS AGAIN!
The other thing was this; I was up and out of the house at 2.15 (it's currently 3.15am in UK) after an oil tanker decided to tie itself to the corner of my head, and woke me up. What I do is, I go downstairs quietly where I keep a set of clothes to change into by the back door, take any pills (currently naratriptan and codeine) then I go outside and pound the streets, walking fast with my head in my hands, trying to keep busy and moving. Also I think the fresh air helps me, and the exercise makes me breathe harder, which I like to think helps. Anyway, point of the story: Tonight I walked the half mile to an all-night Texaco station and by the time I got there, I had a raging thirst, and bought a Dr Pepper (which I hate, don't know why i asked for it) from the guy behind the service window. He asked me if I was Ok, if I had been in a fight! I suppose my eye was half shut and I had been crying, and was kind of out of breath and obviously in pain. Anyway, i downed the can of DP and the headche went. Just like that. And it didn't come back, and it hasn't come back. What the hell's that all about? Cold drink? Caffeine? The exertion? I don't know. Maybe it was the pills finally kicking in, but naratriptan gets to work on my migraines pretty quickly, whch is what I got them for, not CH. anyone know a good deal on cases of Dr Pepper? thanks for reading this shit . & Sorry to clog your message board! Toby
