It is NOT for first-time growers. It does NOT shave time off the simpler beginner methods. It certainly is NOT cheaper than the standard mason jar growing method, although it doesn't pretend to be.
If you know what you are doing, it WILL produce a large yield of mushrooms. If you were planning to host a clusterhead tea party and invite all your clusterbuddies, you would not run low.
First-time growers should avoid this product, in my opinion.
