is the same as medical O2. As a matter of fact the home health supply places in this area use the same welding supply store to refill the tanks. The only differences is in the tanks. You don't want to use tanks previously used for welding because of the lack of need to keep them as clean from impurities. But even a new/unused welding tank is as safe as a medical tank.
