Had an opportunity to see the the neurologist last week and was again diagnosed with CH. Wow -- and these guys are brain surgeons! At any rate, I was given Vermapil (sp?) to take as a preventive drug. Unfortunatley the abortive meds' name elludes me at the time. I inquired about Imitrex and was told that it was a heavy hitter and to wait and disprove other meds first. That coupled with the fact that the military is CHEAP and wont use a patient recommendation as a validation means. Ah well...Im happy to report that I have had 3 PF days/nights! Thanks god! Hopefully Im not jinxing this !!! I was told than an MRI was not needed as I picked CHs up approx 5 yrs ago -- they should have done one back then. Do you think I should demand an MRI??
