Next to a proper cluster attack, it's a walk in the park. I compare my "real" head pains to being hung from a meat-hook or sack-hook by the eye/temple. These weird "sliding" eye pains are more localised and not debilitating, just very distracting and uncomfortable.
I have not been diagnosed with CH, and I have some unusual symptoms such as temporary loss of vision, though the pattern of head pain waking my up just as I go into deep sleep, and a droopy eye and sinus-like stuffiness all seems to point to CH. At least an MRI I had in 98 pointed to nothing "serious".
