It was originally a show horse and had eight gaits. It had only one gait when plowing, however. It's name was Cutter, but it didn't know that. It would never answer to that name, or any other. You had to hit it with a brick to get its attention. It bucked me off one Sunday when I tried to ride it bare-back, and then tried to kick me while I was lying in the dirt crying. It didn't like pulling a plow or being ridden. I think Cutter finally died. I hope he did.
