Many of you know that my wife had a severe head injury 11/96 as a result of an auto crash. She was in a coma for 6 weeks and hospital and rehab for 5-1/2 months. Thank God she is only permanently disabled and will never work again! She has short term memory problems, and is lucky to be able to help our elementary school aged kids with their school homework.
I guess it could be far worse... she could have died and left me the father of kids with no mother, or...Oh, God... even have cluster headaches! I'm thankful she's only never going to contribute to our family income again, and I'll never save enough money to send our four kids to college. It could be worse...
Fortunately, she was driving a BLUE Mazda, and was rear ended by a BLACK Nissan. If she had been driving a RED Mustang, or been rear ended by a WHITE Honda...she might have been killed. Also, I am thankful she only hit two palm trees at 50 MPH... if it had been an OAK tree at 50 MPH, things could have been much worse... she could have ended up a vegetable... or worse with cluster headaches!
