Hi Amy,
First off let's clear the air, head injuries are broken, or fractured bones. Brain Injuries on the other hand is where the brain suffers unrepairable damage.
I have suffered CH's since the age of 18 and had my first Traumatic Brain Injury at age 30 and it injured my Occipital (Visual), area and the Left Front Lobe, injuring the Superior Frontal Gyrus and the Middle Frontal Gyrus, which has a lot of the Serotonin receptor sights.

In my case The CH's did not decrease and did not show any different side affects at all. The doctors did take me off the Imitrex until I was able to regain some of my "Normal" trait's, walk, read, and my short term memory were the challenge, along with a new one depression due to the brain damamge.

If you have any question's feel free to email me, Godspeed, Joe.
