I have never been much of a chocolate eater, except maybe as a small child. Before I got cluster headaches I might go months or years between eating any, and might not actually BUY any for years at a stretch.
But now one of the most reliable indicators that a new cycle is approaching is that I get an urge to eat chocolate. At first I read all the usual stuff about migraines and chocolate, and figured that it was the chocolate that was causing the headaches, so I stopped eating chocolate for a decade or so. The headaches continued, of course.
It was only over the last couple of cycles that I finally realized that it was the other way around. For me, at least, it is the clusters that trigger my urge to eat chocolate.
Am I weird, or is this something that others have experienced as well?
