I can't tell you how many times I have been in a similar situation, whether it was just friends over visiting, or some big special event such as dinner with the "in-laws", when the beast said, "I don't give a shit what you got going on...I'm here!" So, what I have tried to do in the past is simply this: rather than believe I am weak because I am forced to go roll on the floor, etc., I tell myself I am strong enough to do the battle that must be done, and come out the victor. Our own perceptions affect those around us. You don't say so, but it sounds as if you are worrying that your fiancee will see you as weak..when, in fact, she should be praising you for the strength to fight this bastard! The pain is a reality we can't change, our attitude is something we can. When you emerge from your next battle that strikes at an untimely moment, emerge victorious, stronger and more committed to not letting the beast destroy your life, and let everyone around you know that's the case. You will not be defeated!! That's about the best we can do! Good luck!
