There are lots of things you can do for Mike.
First off start ASK him what he wants done when he has an atack.
Research stuff for him - if you are being hit continuously your mind doesn't take it all in.
And join up with other supporters. Margi is organizeing a family/supporters service. Check this out by just using her name on Search (top right).
Mike is lucky to have you. Many people have to face this without support of with active obstruction from those who should be nearest and dearest.
