Hey Gang - I have been told by 3 neurologists over the past 9 years that I had Cluster headaches. I have been on sansert and veraphimil for ever. However, I went to a new doctor about 1 month ago. He told me that I did not have clusters but a damaged nerve in the back of my neck. He then told me that he could totally cure my headaches with a shot to the nerve. I was a little apprehensive about it but said what the hell. That night I slept straight through the night. Since the shot I have had 3 light shadow headaches compaired to at least 6 pounders a day.
I went back to my new hero this morning. He told me that it is working but needed another shot to clear out the shadows. I will give an update in a couple of days.
Now here is the bad news. This won't work for everyone. These headaches that I had would mask a cluster to a T. So there may be people who think that they have clusters and all they need is this shot in the neck. For the people who have Clusters - I feel for you.
