I started at 300mg and found instant relief. But also found within a month my chronic ch back in my face. My dose was upped to 600mg and that didn't seem to make a difference. I was upped to 900mg where that by itself didn't help but with topamax has cut my clusters in half and made them semi manageable. goodluck!
