Utica, in Oneida County, is full of Arabs. Why they decided to live in central, New York is a mystery. They are good people who have taken a lot of abuse during the hostage crises and the Gulf War. The other day, an Arab deli was attacked. When I lived there, I dealt with many good people who try their best to get along. Most of them have been here for 30 years or so. Frankly, they are scared. They are very productive. If you read the Zogby polls you are the beneficiary of a very trusted Arab American. He and his family have been here longer than I have.
