I used to be chronic. I never got symptoms like that without the pain and I never had a "two minute" warning feeling around the eye without the pain following.
Now I am episodic I do have these features. They start some time before the headaches appear and they continue for some time afterwards - in particular I get a blocked-up nostril on the left side only.
My attitude is not to worry about it. But then, I am crazy anyway - I am actually glad to be episodic, even if it's still every few months.
