Here I was at work, trying to watch it in the back office today, running up front to do guest services at the resort, with tears in my eyes.
This was one beautiful service. James Earl Jones opened, Oprah was MC, and Bette Midler closed with Candle in the Wind. There were prayers by many religions including Christians, Jews, Sihks & Muslums. The Boys and Girls Choir from Harlem, NY. sang. What a talented group of young people. They sounded professional. Some one should sign them up for tours.
One point that was made is that instead of just a number (6000 some dead/missing), we lost one loved one 6000 times. A mother, a father, a daughter, a son, etc.
I hope it is replayed and those that missed it today get a chance to see it.
