A misnomer if there ever was one. They're nearly indescribable.

Cluster headaches wake you out of a sound sleep or are so bad that you cannot lie down. I don't think most of us experience a lot of nausea, but everyone is different. The location of the attack, perspiration, and sinus blockage are trademarks of clusters. I think you've come to the right place. I can tell you that somewhere here, you will find something to help in some fashion.

You'll find antibotics useless if these are clusters. Decongestants and painkillers, similarly have little affect. Have you seen a neurologist? He'll take a lot of tests but he has to eliminate other things. If you see one, make sure he has some experience with cluster or vascular headaches.

Others here will have more ideas. I'm sorry for your pain. Clusters hurt but aren't dangerous. It's not much but it's something.

All the best,

Charlie
